There are many ways to help Assist ME expand access to mobility equipment and increase our impact throughout the region.

Make a one-time gift, become a monthly donor, contribute through a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF), or request a matching gift from your participating employers. Your support helps us purchase highly depleted equipment, strengthen volunteer support, build organizational capacity, and respond to growing community need.

♿ Donate Equipment
Give mobility equipment a second life. Donations of wheelchairs, rollators, hospital beds, scooters, lift chairs, ramps, and other eligible equipment help individuals regain independence while keeping valuable resources out of local landfills.
🤝 Volunteer Your Time
Assist ME is more than 99% volunteer-powered. We welcome individuals who can help clean equipment, support recipients, answer phones, review applications, coordinate equipment donations, or serve in our Charlotte and future Union County distribution centers.
Junior Advisory Board members wanted! We have an active group of students ages 13-17, representing over 10 area high schools. Learn more about the program and how to join!
📣 Share Your Expertise
We are currently seeking committee members and skilled volunteers (If remote, must be US-based) with experience in:
- Marketing campaign development
- Graphic design and communications
- Event planning and coordination
- Volunteer recruitment and management
- Community and partner outreach
- 2027 Wheels & Walker-thon event committee (various roles!)
A few hours of professional expertise each month can make a lasting impact.
